The Pet Photography Session: what to expect
Pet photography sessions last about 60 to 90 minutes. They are relaxed and fun with treats, toys and your dogs doing what they love, whether chasing a ball, hanging out at the park, or lounging on a favourite chair.
These photo shoots aren't just about capturing amazing photos, they are about creating beautiful memories with your dog. I aim to take a variety of candid and playful images, as well as some posed portraits. Before I start photographing, I’ll spend time getting to know your dogs so they feel comfortable around me and the camera.
Do you have a dog that is not perfectly trained or has too much energy to sit still? Don’t worry! I want to capture your dogs being themselves, and if that means they're going to be goofy and playful, that's perfect! Most of the dogs I photograph are on a leash and I remove the leash during the editing process.
I am a natural light pet photographer so we will meet in the Greater Toronto area at an outdoor location, at the beach, interesting urban setting or at your home if you prefer to keep your dog in familiar surroundings and have lots of natural window light. If there is a location that you love, simply let me know and I will meet you there. Further locations may involve an additional travel fee.
In case of rain, we will reschedule to the next available date that is convenient for you.
I encourage family members to be in some of the pictures as well so that we can photograph the loving relationship between you and your pets!
After the session
About 7-10 days after the photography session you'll receive a beautiful collection of edited, low-resolution, watermarked photographs from which to choose your personal favourites for your custom selection. Custom packages may include digital prints, professionally printed enlargements, a custom photo coffee-table book, wall art on canvas or stunning aluminum. Most importantly, you will have wonderful keepsakes that will allow your pets to remain in your lives forever.
